This workshop is intended to support us as individuals and as a community build and share tools for resilience and empathy. We will be learning and practicing somatic, or body-based, tools for integrating the inherent complexities of life happening in a time of ecological collapse. We will incorporate tools from social permaculture, somatic therapy modalities, and art. This workshop is oriented around the season of Fall, a time to prepare for letting go and for celebrating our efforts.
You are welcome to come and join us in this radical movement processing workshop. This workshop runs for 5 Mondays in a row. If you would like to join and cannot make every-session, that is okay.

Location – The Tannery Arts Center in Santa Cruz Studio 111
What to Expect –
Class is from 7:30 to 9:30 each session. We will take about 10 minutes at the beginning of each class for me to set up, to say ‘hellos’, and to settle in.
Alchemy is when we intentionally transform energy of one form into something of a different form.
We will be integrating the Elements, Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Spirit / Center to get in touch with our vulnerability about the Climate emergency. We will orient around one element per session and we will caretake our own emotional and physical bodies. You do not have to have any experience with dance, art, or permaculture in order to receive benefit from this workshop. You do not need any pre requisites. This class is structured and we will also be making any adjustments required or requested by the group to cater to specific needs that may organically arise.
You are welcome to come and be prepared to share whatever feels comfortable and there will be no pressure to participate in any activity or share that you do not want to join in. There will be community agreements to sign around the liability for the Tannery Arts Center and confidentiality for the group. This is to support those who may feel inspired to share emotionally and open themselves to express in more vulnerable ways.
Be prepared to take care of yourself. Bring a reusable water bottle and a mask if that supports your comfort. Also please bring a journal if that is a medium that supports your processing. If you need any accessibility assistance please email me at bohelerlovage@gmail.com ahead of time so that I can do my best to support you.
